Intro
This page will one day contain a proper account of the entire trip and its background - as soon as I get over this darned writer's block. Until then, enjoy some pictures from the 2008 Allegro.cc Chernobyl Tour!
If you have any questions or comments about this page or its pictures, just send me an e-mail.
Technical Notes
- All pictures taken by me... unless I'm in them. No post-production has been done (I'm considering getting some of the photos printed though, so that may change at a later date); the pictures on display here have simply been run through ImageMagick with -auto-orient -strip -resize 1280x1280 -quality 90. The camera used was a Nikon D200 with an 18-200 zoom lens.
- Place names are given in their Russian transliteration, e.g. "Chernobyl" (Чернобыль) instead of the Ukrainian "Chornobyl" (Чорнобиль). It's not because I want to make any kind of political statement; it's simply the form most people are familiar with.
- The XHTML and CSS powering this page was brought to you courtesy of a hastily hacked-together shell script, regular expressions, sleep deprivation and a complete lack of aesthetic ability. Consider the entire design temporary.
Oh, and if the page looks weird in Internet Explorer, don't blame me.
