Cable Decoder is a program written by me, Marcus Gustafsson, that allows you to decode scrambled cable TV. It allows you to lock and unlock the vertical sync and adjust the contrast, saturation, brightness and hue. To decode just invert the contrast and saturation and set the brightness almost to the minimum and lock the vertical sync and enjoy free cable TV. This description work for me. Cable Decoder is written after I came across the TVcabo Decoder Project pages by Kossak and discovered that cable TV decoding was so easy.
Since my cable TV company has stopped to sending the pay channels on the analogue net, it is no point for me to continue developing Cable Decoder.

Started some experimenting with getting the pixel data, so far it goes
well. A bit high CPU usage but in capture mode the updating problems
are magically gone. Maybe I abandon DX Media and goes directly on
video ports in Direct Draw. The experimenting also made it possible
for a screen shot, see below.
By the way, the Asus Live driver now includes the V6600 and V6800
boards. Do they use the same EVIP as V3400 and V3800? Information and
test reports wanted.
Not much has changed since the last release. It still has the same updating
problems as the previous version but a new features are added. Now
it is possible to save the brightness/contrast/saturation/hue settings
and switch between the saved settings with one key stroke. I am really
interested to know if anyone got Cable Decoder running under Windows
2000 cause Windows 98, DX Media and debugging are a bit too shaky too be
enjoyable. Click to download.
Added a link section below.
