For those of you unfamiliar with the Michelin rating
system, there is a maximum of three stars and there are
approximately 40 three-star restaurants in all of Europe. A
restaurant with one star is considered worth a stop if one
happens to be in the area, while two stars is worth a
detour and three stars is worth its own trip.
I am still behind in my goal to go to one three-star
restaurant per year. I have currently been to ten such
restaurants as of 1999. I need to go on more trips to
places with three-star restaurants.
