The Work
This is a collection of 37 short pieces by Marco Uccellini for one violin and
basso continuo with additional second and third violins ad libitum.
This collection, Sinfonie Boscarecie was first printed in Venice in
1660, but the source I have used for this edition is a copy of the reprint made
in Antwerpen in 1669. The source used are preserved in City Library of Norrköping, Sweden,
who has gratiously provided all copies needed for this work.
This Edition
I have always tried to be as close to the original as
possible. Editorial changes have been put above the staffs, or within
parenthesis. Slashed figures in the continuo have been replaced with
their flat/natural or sharp equivalents. All accidentals have been converted to modern
standard. Soprano clef have been converted to treble clef.
