Bionic Commando
Capcom, 1987
Screen orientation: Horizontal
Pinout: JAMMA
Players: 1 or 2, taking turns
Buttons: 2 buttons (fire and arm control)
Also known as: Top Secret (the Japanese import?)
DIP switch settings and pinout
You control a soldier equipped with a bionic arm that you can use for swinging around like Tarzan, picking up power-ups and bonuses and for knocking down enemy soldiers. You can also shoot these soldiers with your gun. You fight your way through several 8-way scrolling levels to complete your mission, which is to destroy a missile base and kill an evil dictator. You can pick up power-ups for your gun and your arm, and bonuses for points.
TRIVIA:
In test mode you seem to be able to listen to several songs that
don't appear in the game.
PELLE'S COMMENT:
This is a good and rather cute game with nice music. Swinging around with the
bionic arm is lots of fun. My version is called "Top Secret", and seems to be
a Japanese import (it's not a bootleg).
