From archive (archive) Subject: Author Lists: Tim Powers From: JWenn.ESAE@XEROX.COM Date: 14 May 89 09:02:31 GMT Tim Powers' first two books are best left forgotten (even the re-writes). "The Drawing of the Dark" is an entertaining book, especially for its central revelation (which I refuse to spoil). His later books, however, are excellent. From the gonzo alternate history / time travel of "The Anubis Gates" , to the bizare post-apocalyptic visions of "Dinner at Deviant's Palace" to Voodoo and Blackbeard in "On Stranger Tides". Any of his later books are recommended, and I'm looking forward to "The Stress of Her Regard".
