This is a text adventure where command input is simplified so that menues are used to choose from a very limited range of commands.
The game features music and graphics, although most of these have been ripped from other games, such as Cinemaware's Defender of the Crown and Interplay's The Lord of the Rings, Vol. I.
The game is distributed on three disks, the first two of which constitute a demo version.
Personal evaluation: The game is well presented and well written. It is also the game I have played which most closely follows Tolkien's original story. On the negative side, the graphics are stolen from other programs, resulting in very different artistic styles. Many of the pictures do not feel right for Middle-earth. The fact that the plot so closely follows the original also leads to very few alternative ways to solve problems. In short: The game becomes rather boring after a while.
