At the moment I live in Stockholm and work for BoldSoft as a developer. I quite
like it, so I guess I'll be around here for a while.
I still study Computer Science at Linköpings
University even though the speed now is a bit slow (still 13
academic points to go [991201]).
92/93 and 93/94 I was a member of CC, and 1993-97
I've been a member of the board of Sektionscafé Baljan
(best coffeeshop in the area). 94/95 I worked as "Driftschef" of the
student union house "
Kårallen". 95/96 I was a boardmember of C-sektionen,
where I took care of "Cirkusen". I've also been involved in SOF-95.
Every now and then I write sort of funny little texts to known
melodies (in swedish known as a "gyckel"), some of them (and some
others as well) are now publicly available
Once I invented a game of darts called The Gap...
I like to read even though I dont do it as often as I would like. When I do
it is almost exclusively fantasy and SF. I recently read the trilogy
Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb (980721). The first book was really good,
the second and third was OK. Right now I'm reading the space saga Nyaga by a
swedish writer called Peter Nilsson. My favourite author however is Stephen
Donaldsson with his Gap Cycle (check out a brilliant essay on the
subject) and the chronicles of Thomas Covenant, the
unbeliever. Another favorite is
Elenium and Tamuli by David Eddings.
It's great!
I come from Västerås (just north of lake Mälaren, see map) where I spent my
childhood and early youth. This is where I joined
CISV. I believe in world
peace, and I believe we must start with kids.
I also joined LJK, a local sailingclub where I ended up a
sailinginstructor, so if you ever need a hand on your boat, just give
me a call.
During X-mas '95, a group of 6 swedish guys attempted (and more
or less succeeded) to climb Aconcagua, the highest peak of the southern
hemisphere. Check out the info on the
official homepage.
During december1999 and january2000 I'll go back to try to reach the
summit of aconcagua. more news here later on...
