NoidNoid was an old project for mainly Linux kernel modifications modifying and restricting process environments, including a virtual filesystem which only showed open files. Unfortunately such kernel modifications require quite a bit of regular maintenance to keep working as the kernel changes, and that hasn't been done in several years so it's not of much use today.
