      Independencia is the last hut on your way to the summit. Coming from Berlin Huts it is about 4 hours to get here, and you have approx 5-6 hours to get to the top (including the canaleta). The hut is missing parts of its roof, but people do from time to time spend their night here.

      Personal experience

      This is where Jonas decided to turn down again. Up here he met an argentinian who had spent the night in the hut, and was a bit afraid he was going to lose one or two of his toes... He did make the summit though.
