The normal route in 20 days
the trekking permits are usually for 21 days climbing, but most
people we met on the mountain seemed to plan far shorter trips. The
fastest guy we met was an austrian on a solo-expedition who planned
to be up and down in 7 days... We kind of felt we were a bit
slow... On the other hand, we didn't get severe altitude sicknes!

The chicken gourmet tour
Most of our food came from the swedish military. Most of it was
freeze dried "chicken gourmet". The first taste of chicken gourmet
is delicious, and you think you could spend the rest of your life on
a chicken gourmet diet. This is NOT true.

The Durri expedition
A fairly stupid finnish song played on the radio the day we left
sweden got stuck in the ears of a few members on the
expedition. This resulted in the expression "Durri" which can be
applied to just about anything. Most significant uses are: The card
game "Durri" (in swedish it is called "turn ten"), the campsite
"Camp Durri" (between Confluencia and Plaza de Mulas).

How to climb Aconcagua and still gain weight
Well, we didn't have any scales, but it is quite likely that some of
us gained weight during the expedition, considering the amount of
food we ate every day in basecamp.
and one not so silly, just swedish...
