Anime is animated movies in which the girls has big eyes, high pitched voices and really unnatural eye and hair colors. Being an former employee at Roxen Internet Software implies some forced exposure of anime, and my conclusion is that most of it is crap. Actually, even dedicated fans of anime movies often find that they have bought a crappy movie, and admits is. Why so? Many of these movies are produced as power point presentations. Still images with transitions and sometimes some moving elements. Add to that intentionally vague story, horrible voices, goofy music and silly, often repeated cut sequences and you have crap. Unfortunately there are some good, and some very good stuff that almost makes up for the ppt-movies. This is my list of top animes:

I considered adding "Princess Mononoke" to the list, but decided against it, since I don't consider it an anime movie. I have not added "Ghost in the Shell", since I thought it to be to blunt and uninteresting, and I have not added "Lain", since I thought it to be far to vague and uninteresting.
