This is a collection of various technical documents I've written. Some are for informative purpouses, talking about Web-related things, others are proposals for technologies, yet others are just things I've written about more or less for fun. I like to exercise the braincells, and I also like to he helpful, when that's possible.... | ||||||||||||||||||||

Music-On-The-Net Tutorial |
One of the more popular documents. Discusses how you add Music to your webpages, using MIDI, MP3 / RealAudio, and so forth. Discusses which format to select when, and how to do the techy stuff, e.g. how to add streaming MP3 or RealAudio without the need for special streaming server!
| In the early days of the Web I was very involved in the development of VRML and virtual reality. Here are some papers/proposals from those days
VRML Behaviour Proposal
|
I used to be a member of the VRML mailing list, and tried to make VRML 1.0 become a useful VRML 2.0. Well, that effort has, IMHO, failed utterly. |
Here you can find two documents I wrote about that. First the very old "Proposal on Behaviour in VRML", which was my stab at how VRML 2.0 should be designed.
VRML Plugin Proposal
|
But the VRML 2.0 design process went on aa different tangent. My last attempt att rescuing it, was my "VRML plugin proposal", a proposal that would guarantee that every script ran everywhere. I wasn't heard there either, so I gave up, and gave up on VRML. |
The Virtual Squirrel
|
Instead of VRML I played with Meme from Immersive Systems, and wrote The Virtual Squirrel. You can also find
a little paper about How the squirrel was implemented, including sourcecode!

Constant Z Texture Mapping
|
A paper I wrote a very very long time ago (Feb 95), about texturemapping in Descent. Turns out my speculation on how Descent does it was wrong, but in general, this is a good introduction to constant-Z texturemapping, as it became known later.
