Within the frame of our project, Karin Rappe has presented a model and an implementation based on a refinement of the framework presented here [Rap97]. She implements both explicit (``limited'') inheritance, as well as transitive (``full'') inheritance among roles. In her work, Rappe has extended the role description entity to include an authorization function that is called at role activation time to check dynamic constraints on role usage.
