For my 30th birthday, we took a trip to Illhaeusern
(Alsace), France, to eat at L'Auberge de l'Ill and stay at
Hôtel des Berges. This restaurant
has held three Michelin stars continuously since 1967.
Only one other restaurant, Paul Bocuse in Lyon, has
held three stars for longer (since 1966).
This was my third dining experience at a three-star
restaurant. Currently I have eaten at a total of four such
restaurants and all have offered quite different, yet
always wonderful, experiences. Once I create web pages for
my other visits, I will attempt to do them justice with
more detailed descriptions.
