Hi everyone, Please accept my deepest apology about sending that crap to the entire list. So once again, please accept my apology, and feel free to flame me if you want. -Mitch ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 06 Mar 1998 20:45:08 -0600 From: Agent Cooper Subject: Let's give Mitch a round of appluase! The only thing worse than SPAM is when SPAM begets SPAM. Mitch, for the love of God, turn off your auto-quote. If you don't want to read that SPAM then why did you re-post it to the list TWICE? Whispy female vocals combined with spaceloungehop. A more spacious Tipsy perhaps? However, when I first tried the link to d/l it, the server treated it like an HTML page and displayed a page of alphanumerics. The way I bypassed that (using my Macintosh and Netscape) was by holding down the OPTION key while clicking. This downloads it as a "text" file, but it still plays just fine. Anyway, here's the URL: http://www.fringeware.com/anathema/cooper/slowdive.html Next Sunday I will be removing Avalyn 2 and posting Moussaka Chaos, MAYBE at the REGULAR site, but I'm not sure because I haven't made it an MP3 yet... In the meantime, So Tired is still at my regular site: http://www.flash.net/~agentc/slowdive.html Laters. P.S. And as far as playing mp3s goes, my computer can't do it either, and not because I don't have an mp3 player, but the processor simply does not have enough speed. And for listening in any portable device, I would still have to make a normal CD of the music. My point is, that I hope that whoever is willing and able to get the comp. thing going, will at least try to think of a way to send the stuff round the world in a normal CD format, if possible. There is a party going on tomorrow evening(3/14) in Oakland, CA.... ...and you are all invited! My bandSolarium will be playing an extended set out in the garden. So if you are into noisey/spacey/blissed-out guitar-scapes come check us out. There will also be a DJ inside, so feel free to bust out any "gummo"-style dance moves you like.... From the Bay Bridge take 880 South and exit at the 23rd Ave. exit. Take a left turn at the first light you come to, go one block to the next light and take another left, continue to the next light and take one more left. This will put you on 12th St. Go down a few blocks and make a right on 18th Ave. Our address is 1227 18th Ave, which is half way down this block on your left, just before the big yellow building on the corner (sorta like CNET - you'll feel right at home!). We're going to have a small keg, but if you'd like something else, bring it along. The festivities start around 8-9ish.... Hope some of you can make it!!
