Does anyone know if this was ever released as a b-side or on a comp. or something. If it's a cover, does anyone know who wrote it. Been listening to a lot of mojave lately and makes me wish that they would reform for a retro tour and do all the mojave songs in a slowdive format (in our dreams). I think what spawned this idea was the song Between Us on the new single actually sounds a little like a slowdive song, along with Mercy. But even if they don't do it, I think it would be a cool idea for a tribute album after they're long gone. erik ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Aug 1998 13:44:32 -0400 From: "Alejandro Alaluf B." Subject: Revolver The other day I found at used CD store the Cold Water Flat CD from Revolver. Does anybody remember this UK trio? They were quite good as far as I recall. Their 'Baby's Angry' EP comp was quite gorgeous and CWF was quite stunning as well. Any comments/info appreciated... The Lucksmiths: Australian indiepop janglers on Drive-In Records, touring the states for the first time. They've got a sense of humor and will give you your fix of three-minute popsong jollies. They come from the land down under. Solarium: Also on Drive-In, it's a local San Francisco band playing songs that run from 10-minute long spacey droney type stuff to shorter melodic stuff with a side helping of effects pedals and maybe even (shock horror!) some electronic beats. #poundsign#: Keyboard-ish tunes kinda remeniscent of the 80's, but with an obviously modern touch. They can be fun or slightly poignant, depending on the song. They're from San Francisco too. It's on a Monday night but don't let a silly thing like that stop you from checking this one out - should be fun. You can read all about it at the SFGate Poptart column, which you should prolly be already reading anyway if you live in San Francisco: http://www.sfgate.com/eguide/music/poptart/ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Aug 1998 17:32:11 PDT From: "Pearson R.
